Customization Requirements Guide
To help our master artisans tailor your artwork, please review the key aspects below when preparing your custom request.
Part 1: Sacred Subject & Symbolic Meaning
Which deity, Buddha, Bodhisattva, or protector would you like as the central subject? Please share any specific blessing or symbolic aspiration (e.g., wisdom, compassion, wealth, health, protection).
Do you prefer a focused single-deity composition, or an intricate assembly featuring lineage masters, retinue figures, protector deities, and landscape backgrounds?
Is this piece intended for personal meditation/spiritual practice, fine art collection, interior sanctuary display, or a commemorative gift?
Part 2: Dimensions, Style & Craftsmanship
What size do you envision for the finished artwork? Please let us know if extra margins should be reserved for traditional silk brocade framing or custom glass framing.
Do you have a preference for a specific tradition (e.g., Regong, Menri, Khyentse)? If undecided, our master artist will gladly recommend the most harmonious tradition for your deity.
Options include traditional mineral pigments (Tson-tang), pure gold line work (Ser-tang), gold leaf gilding, or black-ground gold (Nag-tang).
Do you prefer radiant warm gold tones, deep meditative hues, or light and airy natural mineral tones?
Would you like custom Tibetan, Sanskrit, or English blessings inscribed on the artwork, or specific master artist signature placement?
Part 3: Budget, Timeline & Documentation
Feel free to attach photos of existing Thangkas, temples, color schemes, or specific iconography you admire.
Sharing your budget helps us recommend the ideal size, gold application density, and artisan master seniority.
Master handcrafted Thangkas typically require 4 to 12 weeks depending on complexity. We will provide an exact schedule upon review.
Each custom commission includes an official certificate of authenticity and collector documentation.
