Sword-Wielding Manjushri

Sword-Wielding Manjushri is a major emanation of Manjushri Bodhisattva and a wisdom tutelary deity in Tibetan Buddhism, identified chiefly by the Sword of Wisdom.
He has a golden complexion with one face and two arms. His right hand holds aloft the Sword of Wisdom, symbolizing the cutting away of ignorance and afflictions. His left hand grasps a lotus bearing the Prajna Sutra, which represents perfect wisdom. He rides upon a cyan lion. This deity awakens wisdom, dispels delusion and subdues wrong views, guiding practitioners to attain supreme Prajna wisdom.
