Palden Lhamo

Palden Lhamo, known as Bhandarāma in Tibetan, is a principal female guardian deity in Tibetan Buddhism and a wrathful emanation of Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva.
She has a dark bluish-black complexion with one face and two arms, and three glaring eyes. She holds a vajra chopper in her right hand and a blood-filled kapala in her left, riding on a yellow mule. She safeguards the Dharma, subdues demons, removes obstacles and repels adverse karmic conditions. She blesses practitioners with safety, smooth progress and career success, and is revered as a guardian by all schools of Tibetan Buddhism.
