White Tara

This miniature thangka is hand-painted by Regong artists, featuring the facial depiction of White Tara on a single side. Fitted with an exquisitely crafted round carved gau box for portable wear, it is ideal for art appreciation, collection and styling decoration.
Created in accordance with traditional thangka painting techniques using multi-layered natural mineral pigments, the deity has a soft, pure white complexion with a gentle and serene countenance. Her eyes and brows are slender and soft, marked with the characteristic bindi between the brows, paired with elegant lip colour. She wears an ornate, elaborate red crown and flowing earrings. The background is fresh grass green, surrounded by blue-and-white auspicious cloud patterns with rich, vivid colour layers and a full, refined composition. A round carved metal frame sets off the painting, lending the overall style delicacy and softness.
The entire piece is fully hand-painted with double-sided mirrored rendering. Slight variations in brushwork among individual works are normal characteristics of handcrafted artworks.
