Yellow Jambhala / Dharma Protector Wisdom Eye

This miniature thangka is hand-painted by Regong artists using single-sided painting technique. It features the classic Dharma Protector Wisdom Eye, fitted with an exquisitely crafted round gau box for portable wear, ideal for art appreciation, collection and styling decoration.
Created in accordance with traditional thangka painting techniques, the work adopts a warm yellow base layered with natural mineral pigments. The pair of wrathful wisdom eyes are rendered with intense expressive force; thick eyebrows are shaded layer by layer with fine hatching lines, with sharp and raised brow peaks. The outline of the eyes is precisely drawn, and the pupils are shaded in layers for a bright and vivid effect, forming a striking colour contrast between the sclera and red rims. Spiralling patterns embellish the area between the brows and along the bridge of the nose with smooth, curving lines. The round metal frame is carved with interlocking meander patterns in an elegant and refined manner. It is mirrored and painted on both sides with a minimalist and focused composition that delivers strong visual impact.
The entire piece is fully hand-painted. Slight variations in brushwork among individual works are normal characteristics of handcrafted artworks.
