Shakyamuni Buddha

Shakyamuni Buddha is the lord of the Saha World, the founder of Buddhism and a principal Buddha in Tibetan Buddhism. He has a golden complexion with one face and two arms, forming the Demon-Subduing Mudra while seated on a lotus Bodhi throne. Originally a prince of the ancient Indian kingdom of Kapilavastu, he renounced worldly life to practice asceticism and attained Buddhahood under the Bodhi Tree. He preached Buddhist teachings such as the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path. He safeguards the true Dharma and converts all living beings, and is the fundamental teacher revered by all Buddhists worldwide.
